Translational Effectiveness (Advanced course) - UFMG

Sobre o curso:




Courses Description

These are introductory courses in translational effectiveness, the science of applying and utilizing the best available evidence in specific clinical settings.


Students will learn the fundamentals of the science of research synthesis to obtain and to evaluate the best available evidence, in the context of patient-centered outcomes research toward integrating the best available evidence in the art of evidence-based clinical decision-making.


Courses Expectations


Expectations are that students will develop the skills to identify and characterize a patient-centered outcomes research question in the Patient – Intervention – Comparison – Outcome (PICO) framework, obtain all of the available evidence, assess the level and the quality of the evidence, evaluate both quantitatively and qualitatively the consensus of the evidence, and utilize the best available evidence in clinical decision-making paradigms.


At the completion of the courses, students will turn in a written report of the specific case they will have developed individually.


Pré-requisitos


Língua inglesa e participação do curso “Essentials on Translational Effectiveness”.
